hi all,
I am trying to receive channels from asisat 2s. I can receive almost
all channels with good signal quality except european bouquet(signal
quality 29%). Does the dish has to be aligned differently to receive
channels from europe? Also is there any thing like c-band amplifier
which can amplify the signal a bit so i need not upgrade dish just for
increasing signal quality by few percent.

regards,
vasant

Signal strengths depend on a few differant things size of dish mesh or
solid, Type and quality of LNB, and quality of receiver, Some receivers
with a sencitave tuner will pull that extra few db
Thats interesting it loads macau channels 1 through 6 all play. Signal
strength is 62% on a Hyundai, 84% on a Dreambox, and only 46% on a fortec.
using a 2.4 solid dish.

He simply asked a question about signal strength,,, It does depend on where
you live, and what dish sizes you might have available. but most people
would have comparable figures

Hi Bassett ,
I was more concerned about the discrepancies of the decoder box brands , in
there sig strength calibration as these are not pieces of test equipment and
do vary. But handy non the less for peaking max strength's.
A valid point you bring up when comparing is the rest of the equipment used
and location etc.
