unions to get written consent each year before using a member’s dues for

I did that for YEARS while employed with Pac Bell because of the law
suit taken all the way to the Supreme Court against CWA by one of the
members. Had to drop out of the union but continue paying monthly dues
but was able to get a portion back by writing a letter to the union
every year. (Heck, I had a form letter on my computer and printed it
out for all the others in the garage that didn't want their money going
to the democratic party either!)
